3 Stretchy Bangle Bracelet Giveaway Ends 8/14 CLOSED

These stretchy Bangle bracelets are so cool. I am looking forward to giving these away to a lucky winner. Remember my goal is to make people aware of the world wide spread of hunger that kills little children everyday. A lot of my last entries said how easy it is to sponsor a family at world vision and how a goat is one of the simple ways to make a difference in someones life. We take for granted the little things, like how easy it is for most Americans to go out and buy a goat but for these people its a life changing purchase that they don't have the means to make. Visit World Vision and see what kind of difference you can make.
The winner will receive three beautiful silver plated stretchy bangles that are easy to fit with an incredible comfort design.

MAIN ENTRY: (2) parts - Follow my blog publicly and visit World Vision. Come back and comment on something you learned about poverty. It can be something you did not know before or something you would like other readers to know. ( If these two parts are not done then your entry will be deleted.)

  1. I love these bracelets! (However, I do not love that their site requires Adobe Flash Player, which I am not downloading.) According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), an estimated 854 million people are hungry.

  5. Ok. I typed a super long post about how offended I am that only 10% of Americans are "below" poverty when so many more are struggling vehemently just to feed their kids. Let's just say I'm appalled.

  6. Visited World Vision. We do support a child but on the site it shows many other ways a person can give.

  7. Across the nation, many families already struggling in poverty are finding themselves surviving on "weekend food bags" provided by their children's schools and other agencies. abailey_crace@yahoo.com

  9. I am a follower. I learned that you can buy a family a goat for $75 which is great for them because they can use the milk. This would make a great thing for my son's classroom to sponsor. Thanks, justicecw@hotmail.com

  11. World Vision has a soft spot in my heart. They do breathtaking work in devastated counties, like Africa, and they prepare to respond to national disasters-- like the tsunami and hurricane Katrina. Thanks for the giveaway! --Michelle, blogattoday (^at* gmaildotcom

  16. Poverty is linked so closely with child mortality. One statistic I found on the site was:
Reducing malnutrition among children under age 5 in poor countries can decrease child mortality by 20 percent.

I know that losing a child is a horrible, heart wrenching experience (I have had to bury a child). If there are wayt to prevent this pain to both the child who passes and the families who lose them. We as a human race should ban together and do something!!

I follow your site, and thank you for the eye opening posts.

  24. I follow. I learned that more than 25,000 children under the age of 5 die every day due to preventable poverty, disease, and hunger. That is just heartbreaking.
And if I can add, we've purchased gifts for friends from the World Vision gift catalog, and I've found that it really means a lot to people. Instead of some silly thing your friend doesn't need, help out a family in need in their honor.
